Summary 0001490: No fan control
Description This PC has been running Speedfan without problem for two years with Windows XP. I now have a dual-boot with Windows 7 RC1 and runing Speedfan in Windows 7 starts OK and appears to be running normally (no error messages) but has no control over fan1 (CPU fan) fan speed is shown (1750rpm)but this cannot be changed in auto or manual. Configuration has been setup identical to the Window XP/SP3 OS which is still working OK.
Can you help please

Solved it!
I forgot that I had to go into the Advanced tab on configuration and reset the PWM1 type to 'Intel 4-wire' from the default 3 wire (also PWM1 mode to Manual PWM). Now working on both Windows XP and Windows 7.
Apologies for not remembering this(well it was two years ago!)
Issue can be closed thank you.
