|Summary||0002051: AMD GPU temp. sensor stops working after switching Windows user account.|
|Description||GPU temperature reading works very well, but breaks every time I switch to another user account in Windows (its enough just to go to the user selection screen).|
|Steps To Reproduce||1. Log in to system account A, start Speedfan.|
2. GPU temp. read OK.
3. Switch to another user account - no need to log in to account B, just go to user account selection screen.
4. Come back to account A.
5. GPU temp. sensor is now broken and is stuck at -999C.
Restating Speedfan fixes problem.

I've got the same problem after a few hours in "Monitor off" computer state. While I'm working with PC everything is fine. But later I see -999C in GPU temp. It's the only account in my system and there wasn't logon screen, sleep, hibernation or something.
Situation reproduced twice.
MSI 790GX-G65 Win7 x64 SP1. AMD HD7870.
P.S. Found out that it was "Interactive Services Detection" which is the root of the problem, so it's +1 to Zief. Interactive services detection requires user context switch.
P.P.S. Sorry, the above is true, but -999C after 12 hours in "Monitor off" state reproduced many times without Interactive Services Detection dialog.
