Summary0000306: third temp sensor: doesnt work
DescriptionA7v8x-x, ITE 8712 superio.
This chip has 3 temp. sensors, 2 are used by bios, third is unconnected.
I connected a NTC on the third sensor but speedfan read always the same value
"-1", like when there isn't NTC connected.
On the chip pin voltage change with temperature, like others 2 pin sensor.
Is it possible that a bios code hidden the third sensor?

In poche parole ho collegato un terzo sensore al 8712, la tensione varia con la temperatura ma speedfan continua a leggere "-1" come se il sensore non ci fosse. E' possibile che un codice nel bios vada a nascondere questo sensore perch

Enter CONFIG / ADVANCED and try to select a different TEMPERATURE SENSOR DIODE type.

 -Step 1.
Advanced; IT8712F; "Temperature sensor diode 3": thermistore (default).
Temp3 (a.k.a.kt400 sink): -1 C.
-Step 2.
Advanced; IT8712F; "Temperature sensor diode 3" --> diode.
Temp3: -58 C.
-Step 3.
Advanced; IT8712F; "Temperature sensor diode 3" --> thermistor.
Temp3: 39 C. !!!O.K. Amazing!!!:-)
After select "remember it" option so temperture will be always correct.

Why didn't speedfan find right temperature on temp3 by default like temp1/temp2 sensor?
