| Summary | 0000764: EVENTS feature doesn't work, does not support "update", malformed window at 120DPI "large fonts" | ||||||
| Description |
Your “Events” item (on the Configure dialog) has a bad bug. You only light up the “OK” button when I create a new event, and not when I update an existing event. [Of course, I can only even get in to test Events when I go back to 96DPI “normal fonts”, because at 120DPI “large fonts” the whole dialog window is mis-drawn and cut off on the right side] When updating an existing event the “update” button lights up, which I push when I’m finished with my update. However that updated event does not get remembered and applied until the “OK” button gets pushed. But since you don’t light up the “OK” button when the “update” button is pushed, I have no way to actually get the results of my update permanently applied! In fact it gets discarded. So currently the only way I can actually make a change is to remove and then re-add the corrected event from scratch. Also, it does not appear that any of your events actually work! I may be doing something wrong, but even the most basic of event definitions never triggered the expected popup or alarm. I’ve set up a sample event to try BEEP and also POPUP MESSAGE when the CPU temperature exceeds some value. But in fact, no such beep or popup results. Is this feature alive yet? Also, I really would want to be able to specify my own WAV file for the “beep” or “alarm”. As it is I have no idea what your BEEP sounds like, having never heard it because the actual triggering logic in SmartFan seems to be broken even if I have an event specified. But ideally, I would like to specify my own WAV alarm just as you let me put in my own popup text message (if that actually worked). |
